THE CONCEPT OF CONTINUOUS CONCENTRIC CONNECTION IN CIRCLES forms my practice. It is the circular process of perceiving, creating, and sharing. It is a life being lived, where each circle is connected with oneself and others in a center, constantly expanding, creating a deeper connection. It is not static knowledge or control, but one of constant continuation and letting go. I constantly allow myself to follow multiple interests and intuitions, not following only one specific connection, but forming new connections. Still I find myself focusing on music. I believe music is humans perceiving, creating and sharing sound. Music is us connecting to sound. Music is being discovered in continuous sound rather than just made. There is a vast amount of sound to connect with viewing music as the human connection to sound - discovering through hearing and making it. Individual freedom and collaboration are important for every connection. By connecting more and deeper to sound we expand music and by this ourself.

I was born in Berlin and have been playing the saxophone since childhood. While still in school, I participated in the preparatory training programs of Berlin’s music schools in Reinickendorf and Charlottenburg (City West) to study music. I played in numerous bands, including the award-winning big band Berlin Jazz Composers Orchestra JayJayBeC, and was a member of the Berlin Youth Jazz Orchestra.

After school, I worked for a year as a permanent assistant director and production assistant on various projects at the Deutsche Oper Berlin.

I studied saxophone at the Jazz Institute Berlin, which is the a joined Institute of University of Arts Berlin and Hanns Eisler School of Music, learning from renowned artists of the German and international jazz and music scene. I liked Arvo Pärts Music alot and went to study it during my Exchnage Semester in Estonia. This influenced my current band project, YOU AND ME. Additionally I am mainly focussing on our saxophone quartet CONETET and my improvising duo ESKIL AND AARON with Swedish pianist Eskil Roos.

I am studying musicology at Humboldt University Berlin while creating and working as a saxophonist, composer, and musicologist through creation and education. In addition, I work at the wind instrument specialist store Die Holzbläser Berlin.
